In order to live independently, many people with severe physical disabilities need a personal assistant to help with their activities of daily living. Persons new to disabilities have to acquire the skills needed in order to manage their personal attendant care including how to hire, manage, and if need be let go their attendant or attendant care company in order to live within the community. Options can assist you through our skills instruction curriculum which is designed to teach the fundamentals of managing attendants. Additionally, Options can put you in touch with other people with disabilities who have real life experience with managing attendants so they can share their wisdom. For persons possessing these skills and already managing their own attendant care Options has a registry of private attendants that can assist you and a listing of attendant care companies that you can contact in order to fulfill your need.
